From 1974 until 2021, large wood fires burned bright in The Grand Rock Fireplace in The Great Hall. To maximize convenience & reduce emissions, an Archgard furnace was installed in 2021. It is optimized to reduce typical gas consumption by up to 35%! It is configured via the thermostat located near the front door.
